Providing the best possible health care is more than just my job. It is personal. At 25, my brother sustained a life-altering automobile accident. And so began my search for a long-term care facility that could provide the best possible care for my brother. I learned that such a facility was more than the facility itself and its health care team. It was what I call the “third stakeholder”—the sum of how these two vital parties interacted with and mutually supported one another. His tragedy gifted me with the chance to really take a long hard look at what happens when a loved one needs long term care—be it through an accident, health issues, or the natural course of aging. Every stakeholder at CAD—its personnel, health care staff, and long-term care facilities—works together with the same goal of ensuring the best possible care for people like my brother. And two decades later, CAD’s commitment to providing the best long-term care is anchored in that same vision.
